TEACHINGS, ORGANIZATIONS, PUBLICATIONS

Holt continues to teach at many different institutions and spaces. She has been guest teacher at Reed and Lewis and Clark College, The University of Oregon, The University of Alaska and The University of Houston, to name a few, as well as private studios throughout the United States. She taught underserved populations through Oregon Ballet Theatre’s Outreach program from 1999-2005 that included many Portland Public Schools, Morrison Center breakthrough, Rosemont facility for girls and the Transitional school-a school for homeless youth. Currently she teachers wherever her work tours and at her home studio-FLOCK.

FLOCK: FLOCK is a dance center for movement exploration, creation and artistic practice, dedicated to Portland's contemporary and experimental dance artists. FLOCK re-imagines methods of economic sustainability in the performing arts community. It provides an accessible creative hub where the most urgent contemporary issues take shape in both choreographic works and educational engagements. Tahni Holt is founder and currently on the stewardship team. www.flockodx.org

FRONT (2012-2015): FRONT is a-first-ever-of-it's-kind in Portland newspaper. FRONT relies on the old-school tactics of the newspaper infused with new, current, future energy of dance theory and practices in the field. Tahni Holt is one of four of the founding members. www. frontpaper.tumblr.com
